LABUHANBATU – Jasa Raharja Rantauprapat continues to demonstrate its commitment to pressuring the number of traffic accidents, particularly among the younger generation. This was evidenced by a socialization event regarding traffic safety held at SMKS Pemda Rantauprapat on Monday (4/11).
The activity was attended by hundreds of students who were enthusiastic about listening to the presentations. This socialization is part of Jasa Raharja’s proactive step in providing education on the importance of discipline in traffic from an early age.
The Head of Jasa Raharja Rantauprapat Representative Office, represented by the team, stated that students are a group vulnerable to traffic accidents. Therefore, there is a need for a deep understanding of safety rules on the road.
During the event, Jasa Raharja also explained its main function as a provider of basic protection for victims of public transportation accidents and road traffic accidents. Students were given an understanding of the procedures for claiming compensation and the importance of paying the Mandatory Road Traffic Accident Fund (SWDKLLJ) when paying vehicle tax.
The school management of SMKS Pemda Rantauprapat expressed their appreciation for Jasa Raharja’s initiative. They hope that through this socialization, students can become pioneers of traffic safety and reduce the risk of accidents involving teenagers in the Labuhanbatu area.
Jasa Raharja emphasized that safety is a shared responsibility. By complying with traffic signs and wearing standard equipment such as helmets, it is hoped that the number of fatalities on the road can be significantly suppressed.
Based on data from the Labuhanbatu Police Traffic Unit (Satlantas), the trend of traffic accidents in the region is still dominated by productive-aged individuals, including high school and vocational school students. Factors such as a lack of emotional control and the use of non-standard exhaust systems often contribute to risky behavior on the highway.
In addition to direct socialization to schools, Jasa Raharja Rantauprapat is also intensifying digital campaigns and collaborating with local communities to spread the message of safety. This effort aligns with the national program “Aksi Keselamatan Jalan” (Road Safety Action) which aims to create a safer and more orderly transportation environment for all levels of society.
