HALOSUMUT.COM – The Vice Regent of Labuhanbatu Selatan (Labusel), H. Ahmad Padli Tanjung, S.Ag, officially delivered the Draft Regional Regulation (Ranperda) regarding the Accountability of the 2025 Regional Budget (APBD) Implementation.
The crucial financial report was presented during a plenary session at the local House of Representatives (DPRD) building on Monday.
The presentation of this Ranperda is a concrete manifestation of regional financial management accountability, which strictly adheres to the mandate of the applicable laws and regulations. Vice Regent Ahmad Padli Tanjung highly appreciated the smooth synergy between the local government and the DPRD in supervising the region’s financial wheel.
A spectacular milestone was also highlighted during the session: the Labusel Regency Government has successfully maintained the prestigious Unqualified Opinion (WTP) from the Audit Board of Indonesia (BPK) for the 13th consecutive time.
This phenomenal achievement serves as rock-solid proof of the local administration’s commitment to maintaining transparency and clean governance.
Securing a WTP opinion for 13 consecutive years is an outstanding feat that cements Labuhanbatu Selatan’s reputation as a benchmark for fiscal discipline in North Sumatra. This long-standing streak indicates that the local government’s financial statements have consistently met the highest accounting standards, with minimal risks of material misstatement.
Beyond just a bureaucratic badge of honor, this consistent WTP status directly boosts investor confidence, signaling a stable and well-governed economic environment ripe for public-private partnerships.
Moving forward into the remainder of the fiscal year, the challenge for the Labusel administration lies in translating these immaculate financial reports into direct, tangible benefits for the grassroots community.
During the plenary, council members emphasized that while clean bookkeeping is highly commendable, the ultimate goal of the APBD must always focus on accelerating infrastructure development, enhancing the quality of public healthcare, and boosting the regional digital economy to improve overall public welfare across the regency.
